My name is Eric Stockman

I created Storysmith Station, LLC as a way to merge two of my great passions: creativity and education.

I've been been creating entertainment most of my life. I worked almost a decade in Hollywood learning the business by day and writing at night. I joined a sketch comedy troupe and enjoyed the collaboration with many gifted performers and writers. Looking back this was not a big stretch from my youth in a small town in Maine, where my brother and I would rent a camera in order to share stories and showcase our humor.  As adults, we reunited in Portland, ME and made shows on our local Public Access Cable station.  ​​

In addition I benefitted from many great educational opportunities in my youth and have relished the times when I can help pay those moments forward. From my days in finance when I was given the reins to training  all of our new hires to my time in Birmingham volunteering in city schools, there is nothing quite like unlocking people's potential and seeing them flourish.

I am happy to call Birmingham my home since 2015 with my wife, Julie; our two kids, Maxine and Willa; and our dog, Sally. I look forward to helping your kids cultivate their creativity and enjoy the filmmaking process!
